FacialH2O™ or the HydraFacial - A Facial like none other!

What is FacialH2O™?
The FacialH2O™ is a negative pressure dry crystal-free diamond abrasion and hydration device.

How does FacialH2O™ work?
The FacialH2O™ is a dual system device that combines diamond abrasion with hydration facial capabilities. The dry crystal-free diamond abrasion abrades the skin uniformly so that the surface of the skin is “polished” and smoothed; it is like a microscopic exfoliation which leaves the skin "glowing". The hydration system is swept across the skin at high velocity within a treatment tip while introducing topically applied serums. Skin-specific serums for deep cleansing, exfoliating, extracting, hydrating, and antioxidant treatment are available to customize your treatment.

How does it work?

How often are treatments done?
FacialH2O™ treatments can be done 7-10 days apart for a basic dermabrasion program. Usually 5-7 treatments are done to improve skin luminosity, tone, and texture.

What are the serums used?

Active-4™ is the skin rejuvenation serum used for most skin types
Beta-HD™ is salicylic acid for acne-prone or oily skin
Antiox-6™ is an antioxidant treatment with hyaluronic acid
TNS Serum by SkinMedica contains NouriCel-MD, a proprietary mix of multiple human growth factors and other elements discovered through wound healing to help reduce appearance of fine lines, diminish the appearance of age spots, reduces roughness and firms skin. The procedure uses a HydroPeel tip to exfoliate the skin while applying TNS serum simultaneously.
Plus there is our GlySal™ Acid Peels which combine chemical and physical peeling with a single procedure (glycolic acid and salicylic acid blend) for superior results & little-to-no post-peel scaling, resulting in visible skin rejuvenation.

How can FacialH2O™ be used in combination with laser treatments?
FacialH2O™ treatment can be done in between skin rejuvenation treatments, 2 weeks following a treatment or 1 week prior to the next Syneron skin rejuvenation treatment. This helps to slough off darkened pigment as the keratinocytes migrate up through the stratum corneum. Thinning out the stratum corneum also preps the skin for the next skin rejuvenation treatment, making it easier for the light/laser energy from elōs technology to penetrate the epidermis. Some practitioners perform a light FacialH2O™ treatment to the face immediately prior to laser or light-based skin treatment for this reason.

Can FacialH2O™ be utilized for acne?
The FacialH2O™ is a good adjunct to acne therapy because keratin clumping in pores contributes to comedone development. Regular FacialH2O™ procedures help to keep the pores unplugged and prevent new acne lesions.

How do patients tolerate FacialH2O™ treatments?
The procedure is very tolerable; most patients describe a light "scratchy" sensation as the treatment tips are swept across the skin. They may appear slightly pink or flushed post-treatment for a short period of time. A full face FacialH2O™ takes about 20 minutes.

Patients or clients can return to their normal activity immediately after the treatment.

What is LED light therapy?

Light therapy is the application of light energy to the skin for therapeutic benefits. It is a natural photobiochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photosynethsis. NASA's space program has proven that LED light therapy (near-infrared) promotes wound healing and human tissue growth. The energy delivered by the Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) has been shown to enhance cellular metabolism, accelerate the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, as well as stimulate the production of collagen - the foundation of a healthy and smooth skin. A lot of research has shown that LED Light Therapy may help to smooth skin texture, improve skin firmness and resilience, increases the lymphatic system activity, restore skin’s natural cellular activity, reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and superficial hyperpigmentation. The treatment is for all skin types and it is non-ablative, non-invasive, painless and absolutely no downtime. Patients or clients can return to their normal activity immediately after the treatment.

Blue Light:

P. acnes is known as the causative agent of acne. Porphryin, a compound generated by the P. acnes bacteria, is photosensitive and reacts to 405-440nm (blue) light. The Del Sol™ blue light handpiece emits 420nm blue light.
Blue light therapy is an alternative for patients who do not respond well to antibiotic therapy or who develop problematic side effects
